Frequently Asked Questions

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. To secure your booking, a deposit of £200 is required. This is taken off the final balance which is due 2 weeks before your wedding.

What areas do you cover?

I’m based in a beautiful town called Shrewsbury in Shropshire but I travel all over the UK for weddings including Northern Ireland.

Do you charge for travel?

I only charge for travel if the wedding is over 100miles from Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Where a distance is over 100 miles, the mileage is then chargable at £0.45p per mile. Any distances that require more than 2hrs travel time incurs a £150 charge for a hotel. If your wedding is based in Northern Ireland, a charge would be added to cover the cost of a return ferry journey from Birkenhead to Belfast. Please get in touch for more information on this.

Some of my guests can’t be there, can you livestream?

Yes. If your guests can’t be at your wedding, we don’t want them to miss out. That’s why we’re offering Live Streaming packages. To find out more, please get in touch or visit our Live Streaming page HERE

I need to postpone my wedding, what shall I do?

If in the unfortunate event you need to postpone your wedding, my advice is to let me know as soon as possible. If you have a new date set I will happily move your booking to the new date without charge. If I am not free on your new date the booking fee is refundable subject to terms and conditions. If you have any questions about this please feel free to get in touch.

Do I need to sign a contract when I book with you?

Yes. When a booking is agreed I will send out a booking confirmation which details the cost breakdown as well as information on where to send the deposit. I will then send you a link via Signable to a booking contract. The process through Signable is really straightforward and it’s just a case of clicking a link and signing. Once you’ve signed the contract I will then receive it in an e-mail from Signable.

I am getting married abroad, can you film my wedding?

Happily! If you’re getting married abroad, please let me know and we’ll come to an agreement on cost. Usually if you’re happy to cover the cost of flights and accommodation, the usual package price would apply – if you would rather let me take care of the logistics, let me know and we can discuss in more detail.

I want a drone at my wedding, can you fly one?

Yes! I have what’s known as ‘Permission for Commercial Operation’ (PfCO) from the Civil Aviation Authority which allows me to fly drones for commercial purposes. Drone flying however isn’t just as easy as setting up and flying – it requires planning. If your wedding venue is close to a military base or near an airport, I won’t be able to fly – it’s as simple as that. All drone flying is of course subject to weather conditions- I will only fly in weather that I deem to be safe. If your wedding is abroad it may be that I’ll need to outsource the drone flying to a local professional drone pilot who is fully aware of that country’s aviation law.

Can I pay my wedding film in Installments

Yes. If you’d prefer to pay your wedding film in installments that’s absolutely fine, as long as the full balance is cleared 2 weeks prior to your wedding. A full booking fee of £200 is still payable at the time of booking even if you want to pay in installments.

My church is being awkward about us having a Videographer, what shall I do?

Don’t worry. Churches are different, some are absolutely amazing and very accommodating, others however do not like the thought of anything getting in the way of the ceremony – which is understandable to a point. If your church is being funny about you having a videographer, I’m more than happy to speak to them on your behalf. I’m a practicing Christian myself so I understand the workings of a church. Usually if vicars are reluctant to have anyone in the nave whilst the ceremony is in process, I will leave a camera there unmanned and film the wedding from the back out of the way – even the most grumpy of vicars prefer this. If you have any questions or if I need to sign anything just get in touch and I’ll be more than happy to help you.

Can we meet you before the wedding?

I absolutely understand the benefit of meeting before the wedding, it gives you peace of mind to meet who will be there on your big day. Unfortunately for me time is like gold dust. I work full time as a video producer often working away several times a month and on top of filming weddings at the weekend I have 2 young children and a wife. My preference therefore is either Skype, Zoom or FaceTime if you’d like to chat face to face as then I’ll be able to set aside at least an hour or 2 of my time in an evening to discussing your special day. If it still your preference to meet in person then please get in touch and we can discuss the options.
